Funding opportunities

Funding overseas research can often be challenging, but there are some options.   

A few organizations to be aware which offer small grants are BPAIIG, ESPID, ICHG Research Award, RSTMH Small Grants.  

The Wellcome Trust fund a number of global health themes PhDs in Liverpool through University of Liverpool / LSTM (Wellcome Trust Liverpool Glasgow Centre Global Health Research) and in London through the Wellcome Trust Bloomsbury Centre for Global Health Research. These schemes are open to medically qualified graduates from any specialty with many pediatricians being successful in the past.
