ICHG for students

The ICHG provides the opportunity for students with an interest in global child health to join likeminded professionals and other students. You will be able to share experiences and opinions, and to find opportunities to learn and develop your future career.

ICHG runs various events on topics related to global child health and student members are encouraged to participate.

The ICHG mentor scheme is also available to students.

We also plan to run various events such as a careers evenings, short-courses and conferences on a variety of topics related to global child health.

The Student Liaisons

We are a small branch of ICHG whose aim is to increase medical student engagement within international child health, and within the ICGH itself.

We help to engage students in ICHGs work. Day to day we work on 3 broad sub-topics in line with the ICHG priorities including:

  • Advocacy

  • Training

  • Research

We also manage annual awards which aim to promote and encourage engagement in global child health among the next generation of doctors. These include the David Morley Elective Prize and Student Engagement Prize. For more information on the Prizes available please visit the relevant tabs.

Winning projects are presented at the ICHG stage at the RCPCH conference.
