The advocacy work of ICHG aims to raise awareness of issues affecting child health globally and in the UK. Currently a major focus is on access to health for undocumented migrants in the UK, which has recently been significantly restricted. This is an area of interest both domestically and as a global health issue about universal health coverage and the right to health for undocumented migrants. We collaborate with other organisations and campaigns including those by Medact, Doctors of the world, MSF take action group, Maternity Action, and docsnotcops.
We're keen to hear from our members about what advocacy issues you would like us to work on or support you with.
Whether it's a project you're working on or an injustice you're passionate about we'd like to hear it, and have created this brief survey to collect your comments and ideas.
The advocacy award is an annual award for an advocacy project aiming to advocate for a child health issue anywhere in the world.
The project must have a clear advocacy focus, but can be on any issue related to child health in any way.
Imaginative and original advocacy strategies are very welcome, and although the issue must be of importance to child health, the advocacy route can be non-health sector focused.
Applications have now CLOSED for the advocacy award. We have £1500 available for any person or group working on advocacy work relevant to child global health. Please apply using this form. Any questions contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
